Procedures and Guidelines
The Company manages its commitment to Health and Safety in all its operations through the implementation of a Health and Safety management system which includes:
- Visible management commitment to the health and safety of our employees and the community.
- Compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and industry standards.
- Accountability by management for all health and safety matters.
- Ensuring all employees and contractors recognise that they are responsible for their own safety and those around them.
- Setting goals that are measurable and promote continual improvement towards zero incidents.
- Integration of health and safety consideration in the Company’s planning and operations, with the aim of identifying and controlling risks.
- For projects involving a single, main contractor, we will adopt the health and safety systems of that contractor provided that Salinas’s corporate standards are met.
- Health and safety systems audits and reviews that are undertaken to improve performance.
- Allocating suitable resources, readily available to all employees, to ensure the policy is correctly implemented.
Environment
Philosophy
The Board believes that an efficient and productive oil and gas industry is important for the economy, globally and at a local level and that careful and respectful management of the environment is a key part of a healthy economy.
The Directors and employees of Neon are cognisant of the impact of the operations of the Company on the environment and abide by standards set by both industry and internal policy and endeavour to meet these standards at all times.
Procedures and Guidelines
- Neon will, as a minimum, comply with the laws and standards for managing impact on the environment set by the jurisdictions the Company works in;
- Neon personnel will treat environmental management issues respectfully and strive to be a role models to partners, contractors and other stakeholders on these issues;
- Neon will strive to improve the environmental management practices for any oil and gas development or production project that the Company acquires;
- Neon will provide education to all personnel involved with its operated projects on the environmental management requirements for the projects; and
- Neon will provide education and training to its staff on emerging environmental concerns such as global warming, to the extent that employees and contractors are aware of its impacts and ways in which they can assist the Company to reduce carbon emissions.
